Senior Developer: Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (m/f/d)

Role description
We are looking for an experienced, driven and hands-on Senior Developer for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central to help us transform our business and scale our company. In collaboration with our Head of IT and our Application Management team, you coordinate and drive our ERP customization efforts from strategy to conceptualization to implementation. Your role will involve collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, understanding business requirements, and translating them into scalable, efficient, and user-friendly solutions. As a senior member, you will mentor developers, provide technical insights, and ensure project success through your expertise.
Your Mission
Stakeholder Communication & Requirements Analysis 
  • Gain insights into our operational business, from development to production.
  • Work hand in hand with business specialists across departments and our Application Management to understand business needs, gather requirements, assess technical feasibility, and develop actionable solutions to technically improve our processes. 

Design & Development and Integrate
  • Lead the architecture, design, and development of customizations and extensions for Microsoft Dynamics NAV and later 365 Business Central and will build a scalable, international Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central environment, that will power all entities of our global group.
  • Lead version upgrades, system maintenance, and troubleshoot issues within the Microsoft Dynamics environment.
  • Develop and implement integrations between Business Central and other systems using APIs, web services, and third-party connectors.
  • Perform rigorous testing, debugging, and performance optimization to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Promote clean, maintainable, and well-documented code. Ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
  • Extend our tech stack and implement new tools and technologies that will help our company grow. 

Mentorship & Communication
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to developers, ensuring team growth and skill development.
  • Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, provide regular updates, and manage expectations throughout the development cycle.
Minimum Qualifications
Experience 
  • Degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
  • Minimum of 7+ years of experience in developing and customizing Microsoft Dynamics NAV and 365. Business Central (minimium 2 years BC)
  • Experience in leading ERP implementation or migration projects, as technical project lead.

Technical Skills
  • Expert on Microsoft Dynamics BC development.
  • Strong knowledge of AL language and Visual Studio Code.
  • Experience with C/AL, C/SIDE, and transitioning to AL for Business Central.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Azure DevOps and related technologies.
  • Familiarity with integration tools and techniques (APIs, web services, OData, etc.)
  • Knowledge of ERP, financial, and operational modules within Business Central.

Soft Skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Motivated, flexible, and proactive, with a hands-on mentality and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Fluent in German and English (spoken and written)

...CRM, ECM and HSM systems and their integration.
