Global Head of Finance (m/f/d)

Role description
As Global Head of Finance, you will be the strategic and operational leader of our finance organization, responsible for shaping and executing the company’s global financial vision. In this high-impact role, you will drive the transformation and consolidation of our group, support international expansion and serve as a trusted sparring partner to the CEO and leadership team. You will lead all core finance areas from controlling, treasury, and accounting to tax, compliance, and investor relations—while building a modern, scalable, and global finance function.
Your Mission
Financial Strategy & Leadership
  • Develop and execute the company’s global financial strategy to support business growth, profitability, and sustainability
  • Lead the consolidation and transformation of our group and companies with our external tax and legal partners
  • Act as a sparring partner to the CEO and leadership team on financial and strategic topics
  • Support international growth initiatives, including M&A, post-merger integration, and global structuring
Controlling & Financial Planning
  • Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes across the group
  • Drive data-based decision-making through performance analysis and business partnering
  • Improve management reporting and KPIs for group, regional, and business unit levels
  • Manage relationships with investors, auditors, financial institutions, and regulatory bodies
Treasury & Cash Management
  • Lead cash flow management, liquidity planning, and financing strategy
  • Optimize banking relationships, foreign exchange, and intercompany funding structures
  • Implement efficient global treasury processes and systems
Accounting, Tax & Compliance
  • Ensure timely, accurate financial reporting (HGB; IFRS experience a plus)
  • Maintain compliance with tax, audit, and legal requirements across jurisdictions
  • Oversee external audits and maintain strong internal controls and governance processes
Team Development & Globalization
  • Build, lead and mentor a high-performing global finance & controlling team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and professional development
  • Build scalable structures, tools, and processes to support internationalization and champion the digital transformation of finance
Minimum Qualifications
  • 10+ years of senior finance leadership experience in international industrial environments
  • Proven track record in leading finance transformation and supporting business growth
  • People Leadership experience, including organisational planning and development
  • Strong expertise in controlling, treasury, and accounting; HGB/OR required, IFRS a plus
  • Experience with M&A, transfer pricing, and legal/tax topics
  • Hands-on and strategic, with excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Fluent in English, German a big plus
