Your Mission

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Sales Manager with proven expertise in the food & beverage flavouring industry. As part of our expansion into the African market, this role will focus on

  • Implementing and Adapting the Strategic Sales Plan - Execute the overarching sales strategy, tailoring it to the African market to expand reach and drive customer acquisition. Act as a key advisor to management on sales matters and ensure the adoption of efficient, results-driven sales processes.
  • Building and Growing a High-Potential Customer Portfolio - Identify and target promising prospects, manage the full sales cycle from initial contact to closing, and develop strong relationships with key decision-makers to secure profitable, long-term business partnerships.
  • Managing Customer Projects from Brief to Delivery - Oversee the complete customer experience, coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and successful delivery of solutions. Promote our flavour portfolio in line with client briefs, lead customer projects through effective communication, and negotiate commercial agreements including pricing, payment terms, and supply contracts.
  • Delivering on Growth Targets and Commercial KPIs - Set and achieve clear commercial targets for sales and market share growth in line with the strategy. Monitor and analyse sales performance, track progress against KPIs, and provide regular updates to the Manager, ensuring accurate monthly sales forecasts to support effective operations planning and informed financial decision-making.
  • Maintaining Market and Regulatory Insight - Continuously monitor the competitive landscape, regulatory changes, and consumer trends in Africa. Partner with R&D to keep our flavour portfolio competitive and aligned with regional requirements. 
  • Representing the Company and Strengthening Market Presence - Act as the company’s ambassador at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to promote our brand, generate quality leads, and reinforce our reputation across the African region.
  • Collaborating with R&D on Sensory Support - Collaborate with internal technical and sensory specialists to support customer needs and participate in sensory evaluation panels to assess and refine product solutions for the market.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in science-related field such as Chemistry or Food Science, or Business  Marketing with strong technical background.
  • 5+ years of B2B industry-related sales experience (F&B flavours), with a proven track record of achieving growth targets.
  • Strong knowledge of the flavour industry with an emphasis on African markets and regional trade dynamics, with the ability to act as a trusted internal consultant. 
  • Proactive, independent, and adaptable - thrives on accountability and delivers results in dynamic settings
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills in English. Any other language, an asset.
  • Willingness to travel extensively.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Established network within the African food and beverage flavouring industry.
  • Background in consultative or solution-based selling within emerging or developing markets.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret market data and assess customer needs.
  • Experience using Microsoft Dynamics NAV or other ERP/CRM systems to manage leads and monitor sales performance.
  • Knowledge of supply chain processes relevant to food & beverage manufacturing and distribution.
